On the last day of the exhibition “IN-SITU. Artistic Positions on Endangered Biodiversity and the Coexistence of Species”, there will once again be the opportunity to visit the exhibition, take part in a workshop, to enjoy a music performance and to engage in dialog with the curator and artists.

First of all, anyone interested can dive into the topic of biodiversity with Laura Urdl from the < rotor > art education team in the frame of a workshop with assemblages made from natural materials. They are imagined as artistic ecosystems elicate and ephemeral, like the habitat of many individuals.

Ralo Mayer will then provide background information on the genesis of his video installation with the long title “ A Series of Events on Various Timelines Concerning the Experiments of Paul Kammerer at the Institute for Experimental Biology, Vienna”. In doing so, he sheds light on an almost forgotten chapter of Austrian scientific history.

The double-bass player Philipp Kienberger will perform various pieces during the afternoon in the frame of impuls@< rotor >, including “Fury” by Rebecca Saunders (2005) and “Alisei” by Stefano Scodanibbio (1986). His contributions are part of the series impuls@< rotor > – we would like express our gratefulness for this wonderful collaboration!
